- We're brutally honest about our products and the industry. We're very poor salesmen in that manner. We don't sell the cheapest products available, simply because most are not very reliable and will break on you moments after you uncrate them. We want you to be happy with your purchase so we only sell products that we've tested and understand to be of better quality than most products currently available. We would rather have you riding and enjoying your new purchase, rather than pursuing legal action against us. And in the event you do need technical help or parts, we are here to help by phone or e-mail - just check on ScootDawg and you'll see that we do try hard to keep all of our customers moving forward.
- Check out our FAQ's page to get an idea of how honest we really are. We even admit to drop shipping some of our products. Try finding another online seller who does the same. Most are afraid to because they operate their business out of their home and haven't even seen the products that they sell let alone know how to fix one. Since we have the experience with all of our products and can support them with parts and technical assistance, what's the problem with drop shipping? It saves everyone money. But only as long as the product can still be supported by the seller with parts and technical help - which is exactly what we do.
- We have tons of experience and knowledge about our products. The owner, Jim, is a 15-year mechanical engineer in the automotive industry who imported and sold over 2,000 scooters from Jan 2003 to April of 2007. Ed, the mechanic, has an extensive background in small engines and light machinery.
- With our time and experience in this industry, we've come to have knowledge of which products are worth buying, as well as which ones you should avoid. The largest percentage of the products and brands available right now are virtually junk. The main reason why they are cheap in cost is because they are cheap in construction - if even completely assembled at all. We've seen it all. We have experience with just about every brand out there and have chosen the 'cream of the crop'. We feature the brands we have for a reason, they will last - Hammerhead, Lance (Znen) Linhai, CF Moto, H-Sun, Hensim... some of the best known products available from China at this time - and well supported for dealers and consumers alike.
All online sellers claim to be 'brick-n-mortar' dealers stocking inventory, spare parts and providing technical support when needed. Most are 'Drop Shippers' and stock no scooter inventory or parts. We drop ship some of our products but that is ok since we can provide technical advice and parts when needed. The drop shippers you need to avoid are the ones that operate out of the basement of their home. These guys would also be the lowest price available on a specific model - an way to identify them.
We did import our Bandit scooters as well as numerous parts to repair them! Bandit is our brand! We are also a 'Brick-n-Mortar' dealer in Oregon.
